A Children’s Advocate
Fighting for Parents
Shannon Kessler is fighting to put parents—
not politicians—back in charge of our schools.

Why I'm Running
I’m running because public safety, affordability, and accountability are no longer being treated as priorities. Families are struggling to stay in the communities they love, parents are losing their voice, and critical decisions are being made without local input.

Our district deserves representation that listens, protects, and delivers results. That is why I’m running.
About Me

Shannon Kessler is a mother, business owner, and longtime Central Coast children's and parental rights advocate running to bring practical, common-sense leadership and fairness to Sacramento.

Happily married for 38 years, Shannon and her husband have raised their family on the Central Coast and enjoy surfing and hiking with their adult children in the community they proudly call home. A sixth-generation California family member, Shannon’s values are shaped by family, service, and community involvement, with a strong belief in giving back and personal responsibility.

Shannon’s public service is rooted in hands-on local involvement. She has served as an Arroyo Grande Parks and Recreation Commissioner, PTA President, and coordinator of a local Moms Walking club, working directly with families, schools, and neighbors to solve real community and children’s needs.

As a co-owner of a local family construction company and real estate business, Shannon understands the challenges facing small businesses, housing, and working families. A lifelong agriculture supporter and former agriculture leader (4H), she brings a deep appreciation for hard work, accountability, and stewardship—values that define the Central Coast.

A former athlete and mother of a female athlete, Shannon founded Save and Girls' Sports Central Coast and has been speaking locally, at the state level, and on her vibrant social media, for girls' and women's rights to privacy, safety, and fairness in sports. She started Culture Impact, an organization that helps citizens engage locally and prepare for hands-on civic volunteerism, strengthening communities through participation rather than politics.

“I am not a career politician,” said Kessler. “I am a mother, business owner, and community member ready to serve. This campaign isn’t about party labels—it’s about restoring
common sense and protecting the future of our community.”
